Industrial Stillness: How we created a Nap Club at a Multinational Plant

A really special afternoon in the woods yesterday with thanks to the souls that gathered and Lhoist Group & Ian at Planterior for bringing the community together.
The forecast gave thunder and rain, and most of the surrounding areas got that, but not in our Garden beside the plant at Hindlow.
In our garden, the sun shined upon us as we gathered, dropped away the world and walked the edges of this beautiful land with curiosity, to find what inspired awe and beauty with an invitation to create a community mandala. It started with Novas daffodil and minutes later it's was the most beautiful work of art, soft, soft pieces of moss, lovingly placed in circle. Stunning leaves placed in symmetry and stone places upon each. Quietly, peacefully but with conversation and questions about the land, the flora and fauna along the way, together we created something very beautiful.
Beltane fire, fertility and birth was shared around the fire as we rested into the space and appreciated the beauty of the land, with gratitude to the land, we tuned into the wisdom of the land and the wisdom we wanted to share here too. We planted trees of Holly and Hawthorn, the May tree, with intention for the season ahead. We warmed our souls with herbal tea and we gathered around the fire to rest.
Nidra outdoors is like nothing else, we rested in the woodland by the side of the road and it was like nothing and nowhere else existed, we opened a portal of rest and dived in for the most beautiful of Nidras under the trees.
Just a little time then to share dark chocolate, our oracle cards and place a clooty cloth upon the trees with intention for the season ahead. Just a little time to plant some wildflower seeds to take home to remember this day, this time when we chose rest, we chose community, we chose nature 🍄🟫🌏🌹🌳
When we choose rest, we aren't opting out, we are fueling the season of growth ahead.
